Primus is a Soviet and Russian pop-rock band founded in 1982 in Moscow by Yaroslav Angeluk and Alexander Bodnar. The band gained widespread recognition in the early 1980s thanks to its experiments with electronic sounds and collaborations with renowned musicians. In 1983, Loza, with the band's musicians, recorded his famous album "Journey to Rock 'n' Roll" (including the hit "Girl at the Bar"). Because the recordings were distributed across the country under the name "Primus Group," confusion arose over the band's authorship. Alexander Bodnar later continued performing under the name "Old Primus" to emphasize the band's continuity.
